Condo in the SKY almost done?

After many months of patience, persistence, and more patience; our development is almost done before the warm Spring months begin. With the assistance of many our design dreams and refinements are getting done. Only the struggles with health care reform passage remind us how fortunate we are today. Soon family and friends will be welcomed to visit our first retirement bungalow. We can not wait until the last piece of glass is installed to finish this first phase.

Condo in the SKY " Record Blizzard"

The blizzard of 2010 stopped our nation's government for four solid days before everyone could move again. Snowfall records of 126 years fell after 3 major storms hit this area during the Winter months. We were thankful we did not have to go outdoors but many deliveries were canceled and many stores shelves were found almost bear or empty for several days. Now many are discovering nature's reaction to global climate change as Congress debates the issue.

Condo in the Sky vicinity

A sunny day stroll around the neighborhood found many amenities within a few minutes walk of our condo community. A modern urban high-rise world rising from the townhouse beginning of an old financial community along the Potomac River.

Chris's First Christmas Tree 2009

Many Christmas Day holidays have passed since Chris decorated his own tree for the holidays. As he approaches the BIG 30 in 2010, he begins his new year with his first tree with Tracy's assistance. It is a marvelous artificial tree donated by a friend and decorated with many family traditional ornaments from past years of his youth. They even made a ginger bread house together for the very first time too! Is this a sign of the future to come?????

Christmas in Kansas City SNOW BOUND

Since our childhood, there have been few white Christmases during the holidays. This Christmas broke all snowfall records in Kansas City and Washington, DC. We were extremely fortunate that our holiday travels were not delayed by these record snow storms. We enjoyed the best of times with our grandson and his family as we all coped with cabin fever and walks to the local stores. Surly, this will be a Christmas in 2009 which we all will remember for years to come when we have no WHITE Christmas to enjoy.

Condo in the SKY "Final Moments"

Our view from below the top open balcony our condo community also enjoys the privacy from each bedroom view.

With the New Year fireworks for 2010 exploding outside our condo, we began to gather our final tasks and forge ahead with eager anticipation of completing the most critical tasks before February. We all need private time in our condo to prepare for the Spring activities of the new year.
